About Me

Hello, I am Jocelyn Milanes,

a mother of two and a lactation consultant.

I provide families with personalized prenatal and postpartum breastfeeding education and support, both online and in person. I also offer private consultations to address your specific needs and challenges.

My aim is to help you achieve your breastfeeding goals and enjoy this special time with your baby.

My journey started when I became a mother myself and faced the joys and difficulties of breastfeeding. I was fortunate to receive peer support from the Miami Dade-Health Department, WIC Breastfeeding Program, where I discovered my passion for empowering and supporting other mothers and their families.

I obtained my International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) certification in 2010 and worked with North Shore Medical Center towards becoming a Baby Friendly Hospital and a Breastfeeding Friendly Work place. I have experience in supporting mothers and babies in different settings, such as Mother/Baby, Labor Room, NICU3 and out patient.

I look forward to serving you and your family in this wonderful and magical time of your life.

“In March of 2020, I gave birth to twins. Before their arrival I prepared myself to breastfeed watching YouTube videos, etc... however it was hard to remember everything I learned without hands on training. It was a huge challenge to breastfeed not one but two babies at a time. The nurses in the hospital called in the lactation specialist “Jocelyne” and because of her, I managed to breastfeed my babies and still breastfeeding them today and they are going to be 4 months old.  Jocelyne does not give up  until the baby latches and you feel comfortable doing it. While at the hospital she visited me everyday during my hospitalization to ensure everything was going smoothly. She provided me with resources and techniques that would help the milk flow in the coming days. I thank her from the bottom of my heart for all she did for me, even in these challenging times."
